Valentines Day

As an 11 year old, Valentines Day isn't very important. It might be important for couples, and such, but for me, I truly don't care. What buggs me, is that people in my grade care for Valentines Day, I mean... why? Tons of people in my grade are in a relationship, (most relationships in 6th grade don't last a long time, but nobody cares) and yesterday, all my friends, kept asking, "What should I wear on Monday??" and "What should I get for him/her???". It's so ANNOYING!! I'm glad I don't have to fuss over what to get someone.

My friends have come up with some interesting things to give to there Valentine. Like, one of my friends, is making a power point with all the pictures of her and him, and adding music. Pretty cool right. But another one of my friends, is a little less creative, and is just getting her Valentine a teddy bear and a box of chocolates.

Don't you think that for the people who don't have anyone to hug, exept for their parents, Valentines Day is basically a way for people in a relationship to brag that they are in a realtionship? Like yesterday, one of my friends hugged her boyfrind, then another one of my friends hugged hers, and ANOTHER one of my friends hugged her boyfriend, all in a row, in front of me. So I hugged myself. Ha ha...

So I guess that now you know my input on Valentines Day. It's not a crime to have Valentines Day, it just doesn't really matter at my age.

  1. I think it doesn't matter at my age neither... and I'm 37 years old and married... I think there are better days and ways to show my wife how much I care about her and our son.

  2. I like your blog. I DO think that some people use Valentine's Day to brag that they are in a relationship. People deserves hugs every day - not just Valentine's day, right? So there are people who like to be romantic, spontaneously, and I think that is awesome. I'm glad you have this viewpoint and I hope you keep it - at 11 or at 21 or so on. :)

  3. Yeah. I love reading your blog too. You say out all what you think. You made your blogs your real life. Not writing for something else. Valentine day on the eyes of an 11 year old girl.
